We’ve always loved The Little Mermaid and with Disney’s new live action version coming out soon, mermaids will be as popular as ever.

That means there will be lots of little girls wanting a Little Mermaid party for their next birthday. Luckily I’ve got lots of free mermaid party printables, from a printable invitation to mermaid cupcake toppers. But we all know that the real fun is in the decorating!

That’s why I love this magical mermaid banner. Colorful and fun, it’ll make any party look extra festive!

What You’ll Need

You just need a few simple supplies to put this together:

• Paper
• Printer
• Scissors (or paper trimmer)
• String or curling ribbon
• Hole punch
• Tape (optional)

How To Use Your Mermaid Banner

Step 1: Download the pdf file below, then print on your home computer.

Step 2: Cut out the banner.

Step 3: Punch holes in each of the top corners.

Step 4: Arrange the letters to spell out Happy Birthday and add a mermaid to each end.

Step 5: Run the string through the holes, with extra string on each end to hang it with.

Note: If the pieces of the banner slide around on the string, just place a piece of tape over the hole in the back, attaching the string to the banner.

You can hang your banner anywhere you like…on a wall, the front of your dessert table or even over the front door. Pair it with other party decorations like balloons, streamers, centerpieces or anything else you like for extra mermaid magic.
