  • 36 sets of candy eyes – creates the reindeer eyes
  • White melting chocolate – helps the eyes and noses to stay in place

How to Make Nutter Butter Reindeer Cookies

Step 1: Open one Nutter Butter cookie carefully. Break a mini pretzel in half and place one half on each side of the cookie, pressing the ends of the pretzel pieces into the peanut butter filling at the top of the cookie.

Step 2: Place the top cookie back onto the filling and press to secure it.

Step 3: Melt chocolate using the microwave or a double boiler. Place two small dots of melted chocolate on the top of the cookie. Add two candy eyes next, using the chocolate to secure them to the cookie.

Step 4: Add one small dot of melted chocolate to the bottom of each cookie. Press one red M&M on it to make the reindeer nose. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and let the chocolate cool and harden before serving.

  • These will work best with the double nutty variety of Nutter Butter cookies. The extra filling makes it easier to keep the pretzel antlers in place.
  • Having trouble getting the pretzels to stay in place? Use a bit of white chocolate to secure them.
  • To apply the eyes and noses easily with less mess, dip a toothpick in the melted chocolate. Then place small amount on the cookie in the exact spot where you need it.
  • Don’t have red M&Ms? Red Hots candy will work as a substitute for the reindeer noses.
