Hurricane glass with Bacardi Rum Punch

It’s the time of year for summer cocktails that are perfect for sipping on the patio or by the pool, and this Bacardi rum punch recipe is a fun choice. Rum punch is a classic tropical drink that’s bursting with sweet fruity flavor from fresh juices. Of course, it wouldn’t be a cocktail without the nice boozy kick from light and dark rum.

This version uses Bacardi white rum and spiced rum, a variety of juices and splash of grenadine syrup. It’s not only boozy and delicious, but it’s also the color of a Caribbean sunset, making it a perfect cocktail to wow your guests at your next party.

Serve this fun cocktail at all your summer parties this year and bring the tropical island right to your backyard. You’ll want to enjoy this delicious fruity treat all season long!

Tips & Tricks

  • If you don’t have grenadine, you can use pomegranate juice in its place. You could also use a berry flavored syrup like Torani brand.
  • For even more delicious tropical flavor, try a banana or coconut rum instead of the regular variety.
  • If you have a food scale, you can use it to measure out the ingredients right in your shaker, so you don’t have to dirty a measuring cup.
  • If you’d like you drink to be a little less sweet, add a squeeze of fresh lime juice.

Can I Make Rum Punch in Advance?

Sure, you can mix the ingredients (except the ice) in advance and keep the punch in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, just pour over ice and add garnish.

What Kind of Glass Should I Use for Serving?

There are all kinds of fun options for tropical drinks like this one. A hurricane glass would be a classic choice, but if you have any kind of fun tiki glass, that would work well too. You could also serve this in a large punch bowl for a party.
