How to Make Halloween Jello Shots
Step 1: Place the plastic cups onto a baking sheet and set aside. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
Step 2: Remove the water from the heat and whisk both packages of lime Jello powder into the hot water. Stir until the Jello is completely dissolved.

Step 3: Add 1 cup cold water and one cup of vodka to the Jello mixture. Stir well.

Step 4: Pour a shallow layer of lime Jello into the cups, filling each about a quarter of the way full. Cover the remaining lime Jello with plastic wrap and set it aside. Place the cups in the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour.

Step 5: After the lime Jello has set, bring another 2 cups of water to a boil, then remove the boiling water from the heat. Whisk the in grape Jello powder and stir until dissolved.

Step 6: Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup vodka to the grape Jello mixture. Stir until well combined.

Step 7: Allow the mixture to cool completely, then add a layer of the grape Jello to the cups on top of the lime Jello. The cups should be about half full.

Step 8: Cover the remaining grape Jello with plastic wrap and set aside. Place the cups back in the refrigerator to chill for another hour.
Step 9: After the grape layer has set, take the remaining lime Jello from earlier, and add another layer. Cups should be about ¾ full.

Step 10: Toss any leftover lime Jello (or set aside to eat as dessert later) and move the cups to the refrigerator to chill for 1 hour.
Step 11: Once the second lime layer has set, add another layer of grape, filling the cups the rest of the way. Move them to the refrigerator to chill for 1 more hour, or until ready to serve.

Step 12: Before serving, top with whipped cream and Halloween sprinkles.

Tips & Tricks
- Be careful not to add too much alcohol or your Jello shots may not set properly.
- Vanilla vodka or whipped cream vodka also work great with this recipe. If you want to try another kind of alcohol, you can substitute rum or tequila.
- Add some gummy worms or candy eyeballs, and top with a little black sanding sugar for an extra creepy and fun garnish.
- For even more creative ways to make these tasty Jello shots, you can switch up the colors. Try whipping up a batch of orange Jello and add black food coloring to grape Jello. Start by pouring an orange layer into a shot cup, add a black layer and repeat.
- The 2oz plastic shot cups with lids work best for this recipe, but you can use any small plastic cups or plastic shot glasses. If using cups without lids, be sure to keep them covered in the fridge. This will help keep a film from forming on top of the Jello.

Jello shots will keep in the fridge for about 4-7 days without the whipped cream. Be sure to place them in an airtight container or keep them covered with lids or plastic wrap. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles just before serving.
