DIY Harry Potter Flying Keys Craft
Equipment
- Paintbrush a small, flat paintbrush works best
Materials
Instructions
- Gather all supplies and remove the packaging.
- Apply a topcoat of metallic gold acrylic craft paint to the laser cut wooden keys. Brush in a random fashion, allowing some of the wooden base to show through in certain areas. Allow the paint to dry completely.Laser Cut Wooden Keys – Dollar Store, Acrylic Craft Paint – Metallic Gold
- Download the FLYING KEYS WINGS PATTERN and print it onto vellum paper with black ink. Use scissors to carefully cut the wing patterns out of the vellum paper. NOTE: Vellum paper is transparent like tracing paper, but heavier like cardstock. You should be able to find it at most craft stores, or you can use the Amazon link above.Vellum Paper – Craft Store, Wing Pattern For Flying Keys
- Use a glue gun to attach the wings to the gold painted keys just under the handle of the key. You could also use liquid craft glue for this project, but you'll have to wait for it to dry.
- Mix and match the wing and key patterns for even more variety. Let glue dry and you're ready to decorate!
