Why We Love This Recipe
One look at this recipe and you’ll see exactly why it’s always a hit!
- Just 10 Minutes Prep Time – With only 5 ingredients and no baking required, this is one of the easiest desserts you will ever make. Just mix, chill for 2 hours, and serve!
- Perfect For Parties & Potlucks – This Oreo Fluff travels beautifully, making it the ideal dessert to bring to holiday gatherings, potlucks, and everything in between. Just cover it and go!
- Budget Friendly – With just a handful of ingredients, you can make a dessert that feeds a crowd without breaking the bank!
Ingredients

- Instant vanilla pudding mix
- Milk
- Cream cheese
- Cool Whip (or homemade whipped cream)
- OREO cookies
- Your favorite dippers – Graham crackers, Nilla Wafers, pretzels, strawberries, etc.
How To Make OREO Fluff
Step 1: Crush your Oreos. I usually place them in a plastic bag and roll over them with a rolling pin (just leave a corner unsealed so the bag doesn’t pop open). Another option is to toss them into the food processor for a few seconds, but be sure not to crush them too finely. You want them to be a little chunky.

Step 2: Combine vanilla instant pudding mix and milk in a large mixing bowl. Mix with a hand mixer or stand mixer until well blended.

Step 3: Add softened cream cheese to the vanilla pudding mix. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 4: Fold in Cool Whip or whipped cream. Keep folding until it’s thoroughly blended with the pudding mixture.

Step 5: Set aside 1/4 cup of the crushed Oreos for garnish. Add the remaining Oreo pieces to the cream cheese mixture and stir gently. Don’t overmix or your cookies may crumble too much.

Step 6: Scoop the Oreo dip into a serving bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour or two to give it time to thicken. Top with more crushed cookies just before serving and enjoy!

What To Dip In Your Oreo Fluff Dessert
Since this is served as a dip, you’ll need dippers! You can’t go wrong with Honey Maid Graham Crackers and Nilla Wafers. I thought I’d get Chips Ahoy! this time too. Cookies combined with cookies? Yes, please!
Want more dipping ideas? Why not try these:
- Golden OREO Cookies
- Pretzels
- Strawberries
- Apple slices
- Marshmallows

This dessert dip is always so popular that you shouldn’t get your hopes up when it comes to having leftovers. However, if you do get lucky, store your fluff in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
Absolutely! This recipe tastes even better when you make it the day before and refrigerate it overnight! The best part is that if you’re planning a party and you make this ahead of time, it’s one less thing to worry about that day.

Substitutions And Variations
There are so many fun ways to make these brownies your own! Here are a few of my favorites.
- Mix it up by using different Oreo flavors like Mint Oreos or Chocolate Creme.
- Use Oreo Cookies & Creme, white chocolate pudding or even cheesecake pudding in place of the vanilla flavor.
- Stir in some mini marshmallows or even a little marshmallow fluff.
- Make a lighter version by using sugar-free pudding, skim milk and light versions of the cream cheese and whipped topping (such as fat free Cool Whip).
- Pour the finished version into a graham cracker pie crust for a delicious Oreo Fluff Pie!
- Freeze leftover fluff in a popsicle mold to make deliciously creamy popsicles for a hot day.
This dip can also be made into fun little bite size treats for the holidays. Dip phyllo shells in sprinkles, pipe the fluff into the shells, then add a little star at the top. You can do this for any holiday just by changing the sprinkles and topping! Just be sure to use a large piping tip so that the Oreo chunks don’t get stuck.

- Scoop the Oreo dip into a serving bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour or two to give it time to thicken. Top with more crushed cookies, add dippers on the side and enjoy!
Notes
- If your store carries it, you can also use Oreo Cookies & Creme Pudding instead of vanilla. For a more chocolate-y dessert, try using chocolate pudding mix instead.
- This recipe can easily be made the night before and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Wait to garnish with the extra crushed Oreos until just before serving.
- The cream cheese gives this Oreo fluff dessert salad a creamy texture, similar to cheesecake. If you want a fluffier, more whipped texture, cut the cream cheese by half or add a little more Cool Whip.

This Oreo fluff has become our new favorite treat. I like the idea of adding mini marshmallows to it. The kids enjoyed it all the more! I will try the mini bite-size with a Christmas theme this coming holiday. Thank you!
Thanks so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Silly baker! 😃Oreo Fluff is a salad!! In the Midwest the line between salad and dessert is very blurred. We love salads made with cool whip and pudding! Cookies or candy take salads to a whole new level!😉
I’ve seen these called a variety of things…fluff, salad and even fluff salad. I do agree that they are the very best kind of salad 😊
