Snickers Chocolate Milkshake Recipe
My kids have officially claimed this Snickers milkshake as their favorite, and honestly, I can’t blame them one bit. It’s everything they love in one glass: a thick and creamy chocolate milkshake loaded with Snickers candy bars, caramel sauce, and peanut butter.
What makes this milkshake so fun is how easily it comes together with just a handful of simple, grocery-store ingredients. No special skills, no complicated steps. Just toss everything into a blender and let it do the work. It’s the perfect recipe when everyone’s craving something cold, sweet, and easy to make.
If you’re a chocolate and peanut butter fan, my Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Brownies and Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting should be on your must-make list too.

Why We Love This Recipe
- Tastes exactly like a Snickers bar in a glass: Full of chopped Snickers bars, so every sip has that signature chocolate, caramel, and peanut butter combo we all love.
- It comes together in five minutes: You just add the ingredients, blend and pour, then pile on the toppings.
- Decadent toppings: A little chocolate drizzle and whipped cream make this milkshake look like it came straight from a dessert shop.
Ingredients

- Chocolate ice cream: Acts as the base of your milkshake, so use your favorite brand.
- Whole milk: This gives the milkshake its creamy texture and perfect consistency.
- Caramel sauce: Look for the caramel sauce sold near the ice cream toppings at your grocery store.
- Peanut butter: I use creamy because it’s used in the milkshake and the drizzle.
- Fun-sized Snickers Bars: Fun-sized bars blend up perfectly in this recipe. If you only have full-sized Snickers bars, just cut them down to roughly the same size as a fun-sized bar before adding them to the blender.
- Whipped cream: Piled high on top, this finishes the whole thing off. See the tips section below if you do not have any on hand.
- Hot fudge or chocolate syrup: Used inside the glass and drizzled on top for that extra bit of chocolate goodness.

Step 2. Next, add the chocolate ice cream, milk, caramel, peanut butter, and fun sized or chopped Snickers bars to your blender. Blend for about 30-60 seconds, or until all of the Snickers bars are blended well.

Step 3. Pour into tall your shake glasses.
Step 4. Top with whipped cream, more chocolate, and melted peanut butter. Add chopped fun-size Snickers bars, then stick a whole one right into the whipped cream for the ultimate finishing touch.

Storage Instructions
I recommend enjoying this right after you make it. Storing leftovers isn’t recommended since you’ll lose the thick, creamy texture that makes it so good to begin with.

Variations And Add-ins
This recipe is super flexible and easy to make your own. Mix and match any of these ideas to put your own spin on this Snickers milkshake.
- Ice cream: I used chocolate ice cream but you can use vanilla, butter pecan or any of your favorite flavors.
- Milk: Whole milk and almond milk both work great.
- Caramel sauce: You can used store-bought or homemade if you prefer.
- Peanut butter: You can use almond butter, though it will change the flavor and texture a bit.
- Whipped cream: If you don’t have whipped cream you can make your own by beating together heavy whipping cream and sugar until firm peaks form, or just pipe some Cool Whip right on top.

Tips And Tricks
These little tricks make a big difference and are so easy to follow. A few simple moves and your milkshake will turn out perfectly every single time.
- Make sure your chocolate ice cream is cold and firm: Slightly softened is fine, but you want it to hold its shape going in.
- Keep your Snickers bars at room temperature before blending: Cold or refrigerated candy bars are much harder to blend and can strain your blender motor, so skip the fridge.
- Warm the peanut butter: For the peanut butter drizzle inside the glass, microwave creamy peanut butter for 10 to 30 seconds until it is thin and pourable.
- Use a tall glass: You want to have plenty of room for all those toppings without everything spilling over. A wide mouth makes it easier to get that big swirl of whipped cream on top.
- Get the perfect drizzle: To get a really clean chocolate drizzle inside your glass, tilt the glass and slowly rotate it as you drizzle so the chocolate syrup coats the sides in a nice spiral pattern.
