Raspberry Milkshake Recipe
I love making milkshakes, especially when summer hits (this Florida heat is no joke)! It’s one of my favorite ways to cool down and treat myself at the same time. I’ve made so many variations, from classic vanilla milkshakes to decadent Kit Kat milkshakes but this fruity raspberry milkshake ranks right up there at the top!
My recipe blends frozen raspberries and vanilla ice cream, with a splash of lemon juice to brighten everything up. Top it with a swirl of whipped cream and a few fresh raspberries for good measure and you’ve got a treat that’s simple, delicious, and totally worth skipping the drive-thru for.

Why We Love This Recipe
- Deliciously sweet and slightly tart flavor
- Thick, creamy, and made with real vanilla ice cream
- Super quick and easy to make with just five ingredients
Ingredients

- Vanilla bean ice cream: Rich, creamy base for the shake
- Whole milk: Helps everything blend smoothly, creating that thick milkshake texture
- Frozen raspberries: Tart and fruity, they add the berry flavor
- Lemon juice: Adds a little brightness that makes the raspberries pop
- Vanilla extract: Gives the shake a little more vanilla flavor
- Whipped cream: Light and fluffy for a classic topping
- Fresh raspberries: Pretty and adds extra fruity goodness
How To Make The Perfect Raspberry Milkshake
Step 1. Add all the ingredients to your blender.

Step 2. Blend for about 30 seconds, or until it reaches your desired consistency. Add more ice cream for a thicker shake or more milk for a thinner one.

Step 3. Pour into glasses.

Step 4. Add whipped cream and raspberries, and enjoy!
Variations And Add-ins
Sometimes I like to add a little twist! These are all fun variations if you want to switch it up a little.
- Jam: Add a spoonful of raspberry jam for extra flavor and sweetness.
- Berries: Blend in a few strawberries or blackberries for a mixed berry milkshake.
- Ice cream: Swap the vanilla for chocolate ice cream for a raspberry-chocolate combo.
- Chocolate: Add a swirl of chocolate syrup before serving for a little extra decadence.
- Boozy shake: For an adults-only version (always fun!), add a splash of raspberry liqueur.

Tips And Tricks
This is such an easy recipe but here a few tips to make sure it turns out just right every time!
- I always chill my glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before pouring. This helps keep the shake cold longer.
- If your blender struggles with thick shakes, pulse to start and stir between blends to keep things moving.
- For an ultra rich shake, you can use part heavy creamy and part whole milk.
- This milkshake is best enjoyed immediately. If you must, freeze in a sealed container and re-blend with a splash of milk before serving.
FAQs
Yes, but whole milk gives the creamiest result. Almond, oat, or coconut milk work too, just expect a slightly different texture.
It helps, especially with frozen fruit. Any blender should work if you give it enough time though.
I use frozen berries because they give the milkshake a more frosty texture. Fresh raspberries can make the consistency thinner, so if you use them, you may want to cut back on the milk.
