Baking for the holidays? These Peanut Butter Cookie Truffles are always a crowd pleaser!
One of the best things about the holidays is the baking! I used to love making cookies with my grandmother so I guess it’s just always stuck with me! Those were great memories and I try to do the same with my own daughters too. We had so much fun baking cookies a couple weeks ago that we decided to do it again this weekend. I had signed up for Betty Crocker’s 24 Days Of Cookies and when I saw the recipe for these Peanut Butter Cookie Truffles, I knew we had a winner!

Peanut Butter Cookie Truffles
To make this recipe, you start by baking the cookies as you normally would and you probably already have all the ingredients you need! I made it easy by using Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Cookie mix for the cookies.
The truffle recipe is pretty easy! My girls had never used the food processor before and their favorite part of the day seemed to be pushing the buttons for me (I love it when my kids are that easy to entertain)! After that, we formed them into balls and then mommy took over for the finishing touches.
Hmmm…we were supposed to have 42 but were a little short. Think it could have anything to do with the fact that we I taste tested a couple of the peanut butter cookies? I was just making sure they were good enough to use for the truffles…it’s called quality control! (They passed)
I put my own little twist on the recipe. It called for melted chocolate chips to coat the truffles but I wanted something a little more festive. I chose to go with red and white chocolate candy coating and I’m so glad I did because these sweet treats turned out great!
Not only were these truffles pretty, they were delicious too (again, I HAVE to taste them for quality control purposes)! We brought them to a neighbors Christmas party and they were a hit!
Are you a peanut butter fan? What twist would you put on the traditional peanut butter cookie?
Thank you for joining us this week at The Wednesday Showcase Party! You had me with peanut butter! π I love any and all things peanut butter, and so do my daughters. We will have to add this to our list of goodies to make before Christmas!
Thanks! I just finished the last of them today…they were so good! I hope you and your daughters enjoy them too!

Thanks so much! Yes, they were yummy and I ate WAY too many of them! Good thing I’m going to make my yearly resolution to lose 5 pounds, although I usually forget about it after the first few days…LOL!

Truffles are one of our favorite Christmas treats to make and share. My oldest especially likes to make the oreo truffles, while my youngest loves the Peanut Butter Bon Bons. This little treat would be a huge hit with all the peanut butter lovers in our family. I am so glad I stopped by from Pat and Candy’s site to check out your post.
Merry Christmas!
Blessings,
Dawn
