Tips & Tricks

  • If regular toothpicks aren’t quite long enough, you can use a wooden skewer cut to size.
  • Try using kitchen scissors to cut the marshmallows – it’s the easiest way to prevent everything from getting sticky.
  • Be careful not to select strawberries that are too large, or they could break your toothpicks. Your Grinch faces will also look better if you keep the size of all ingredients uniform.
  • To really take these up a notch, use an edible marker to draw a Grinch face on your grapes.

How do I store these?

These are best served within 2 hours of assembling them. Keep them in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.

What can I substitute for the marshmallows?

You can make these even healthier by using banana slices in place of the marshmallows. I’d recommend squeezing some lemon juice on them to keep them from turning brown.
