This Strawberry Banana Milkshake is fruity, sweet, and packed with fresh strawberry flavor. The best part? You can whip it up in about 30 seconds! It’s a cool, creamy treat that you’ll be craving all summer long.

If you love fruity desserts, this milkshake is about to be your new go-to. It’s got a strong strawberry flavor up front with just a hint of banana underneath. My favorite part is that the whole thing comes together with just four simple ingredients. No cooking, no fancy steps…just toss everything in the blender and you’re done.
What I love most about this one is how fresh it tastes. With real strawberries, ripe bananas and creamy vanilla bean ice cream, this milkshake is loaded with flavor. Top each glass with a big swirl of whipped cream and a few strawberry and banana slices, and you’ve got a milkshake that’s as pretty as it is delicious!

Why We Love This Recipe
- Big fresh strawberry flavor: I use real, ripe strawberries to give this milkshake a bright, fruity flavor you just can’t get from frozen.
- Ready in minutes: Four ingredients, one blender, and about 30 seconds is really all it takes.
- No cooking required: This is a no-fuss, no-stove, no-stress dessert from start to finish.
Ingredients

- Vanilla bean ice cream: This is the base of the milkshake and gives it that thick, creamy texture. French vanilla works great too.
- Whole milk: Whole milk keeps the consistency nice and creamy. Almond milk also works if that’s what you have on hand.
- Bananas: Make sure your bananas are fresh and ripe. The riper they are, the sweeter the flavor (spotted bananas work perfectly here).
- Fresh strawberries: I use fresh strawberries for this recipe but you can use frozen in a pinch.

How To Make A Strawberry Banana Milkshake
Step 1. Add the ice cream and milk to your blender first, then toss in your fresh strawberries and bananas.
Step 2. Place the lid on your blender and blend on high for about 15-30 seconds, until everything is smooth and well combined.

Step 3. Pour into glasses, top with slices of fresh strawberry and banana, and enjoy right away!

Want to get extra fancy? (Of course you do!) I always add a little whipped cream with the fresh fruit garnish, then top it off with a colorful straw. It makes the presentation even more fun!

Tips & Tricks
These are my go-to tips for getting the best results every single time!
- Start on low, then go high: Quickly increase the speed to the highest setting on your blender to make sure everything gets fully blended while keeping that thick milkshake consistency.
- Don’t thaw your ice cream: It should be just pliable enough to scoop straight from the container. Too soft and your milkshake will be thin.
- Use ripe bananas: The riper the better! Spotted bananas are sweeter and blend up perfectly.
- Drink it right away: This milkshake is best enjoyed immediately after blending. It doesn’t store well, so drink up!

You’ll know it’s ready when there are no visible pieces of fruit left and it reaches the consistency you like.
Fresh strawberries work best and give you the brightest flavor, but frozen will work too. Just keep in mind you may need to reduce the amount of milk slightly since frozen fruit adds extra liquid.
Add a splash more milk and blend for just a few more seconds. Start with a tablespoon or two so you don’t thin it out too much! If it does get too thin, just add more ice cream.
