Butterbeer Shot FAQs
What Does Butter Beer Taste Like?
Butterbeer has a prominent butterscotch flavor with perfect hints of cream from the cream soda.
How do I Store Jell-O Shots?
There are various types of disposable small shot glasses you can use. I like to use plastic shot glasses or little cups that have the lids so you can keep them fresh in the fridge until you’re ready to serve them.
A tip that I learned when I made these St. Patrick’s Jello Shots was to set the empty cups on a small plate, cookie sheet or tray before you fill them. It makes transporting them to the fridge to set up MUCH easier.
How Far in Advance from Party Time Should I Make Them?
You will need to allow at least 3-4 hours before party time when making them, but you can make them overnight if you need to.
Harry Potter Jello Shot Variations
Strength: If you want a bit of a stronger jello shot, you can use regular vodka with a little caramel extract and a little vanilla extract. Regular vodka is typically 10% stronger than flavored versions and will give the shots a stronger kick.
Alcohol: You can change up vodka and use just Schnapps, or just use all vodka. Baily’s Irish Cream is also a great option. You just need 2 cups of alcohol total.
Toppings: You can give these shots a little sparkle with gold sugar sprinkles, rainbow sugar sprinkles, or any colored large crystal sugar. For Halloween, you can add colorful Halloween sprinkles. For an even more decadent finishing touch, you can add some finely shaved white chocolate right on top of the whipped cream.
Whipped cream: For a fancy topping you can add the whipped cream in pretty little mounds using piping bag

“Heat mixture over medium low heat until steamy” ….🤔😒 Huh?
Yes, you don’t want it to be boiling…just hot enough that you can see a little steam 🙂
